BYD Opens First Passenger Vehicle Showroom in New Delhi

- Delhi dealership BYD's fourth passenger vehicle dealership in India
- Dealerships previously opened in Kochi, Hyderabad and Vijaywada
- Currently only offers the all-electric e6 MPV
BYD has opened its first passenger vehicle dealership in New Delhi. The new Landmark BYD dealership is the company’s fourth PV dealership in India. TheOpened in partnership with the Landmark Group, the new dealership is part of a state-of-the-art 3S facility spread across 6,600 square feet and includes a service centre, customer lounge and vehicle charging stations in the Okhla Industrial Hub.
The company also has passenger vehicle showrooms in Vijaywada, Hyderabad and Kochi. The opening of dealerships comes at a time when the company has made its sole model the e6 available to private buyers.

While initially only available to commercial buyers, the e6 can now be purchased by private buyers.
Sanjay Gopalakrishnan, Senior Vice President of Electric Passenger Vehicle Business of BYD India, stated, “The New Delhi NCR region is one of the key markets for BYD India. New Delhi has immense potential for premium passenger vehicles, and additional 18,000 charging stations are planned to be installed across the city by 2024. The goal is to have one station for every 15 electric vehicles inside the city. This is a major boost for the EV industry and we strongly believe that BYD will be the main contributor to EV adoption in the EPV segments.”
BYD’s passenger vehicle line-up currently comprises of just the e6 MPV which it launched in India late last year. The e6 is equipped with a 71.7 kWh battery paired with an electric motor driving the front wheels. The company claims a WLTC range of up to 520 km for its EV with the electric motor putting out 94 bhp and 180 Nm.
