Earlier, we had told you that Toyota, which recently discontinued the Yaris sedan in India, will replace the car with a re-badged version of the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, and that is expected to be called the Toyota Belta. Now, images of the car have surfaced online with the Toyota logo and the Belta brand badging, confirming our speculations. However, the models in these photos are not for India, in fact, these are said to be the Left Hand Drive (LHD) versions of the car for the export markets. A batch of the Toyota Belta sedans was spotted at a port ready to be exported.

Except for the Toyota logo and the new name badge, visually the car remains unchanged. Toyota has made no design or cosmetic changes to the car, in fact, it even gets the same grille, alloy wheels and other exterior styling elements as the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. Under the company's partnership with Suzuki Motor Corporation, the company has already launched the Toyota badged Baleno, which was renamed Glanza, and the Vitara Brezza, which was re-badged as Urban Cruiser. As of now, there is no update on when the car will go on sale in India, however, we would expect a launch closer to Diwali, which will allow the carmaker to cash in on the festive mood. The features list will be identical to the existing Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, which includes - LED projector headlights, LED daytime running lamps, LED taillights, and 16-inch alloy wheels. The cabin will get features like - a touchscreen infotainment system, multi-functional steering wheel, auto climate control cruise control and more.

In the Ciaz, the engine is tuned to produces 103 bhp and 138 Nm and comes paired with either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission. The power output will remain unchanged.
