City and Amaze Do it Again for Honda; 30% Growth in April 2014

Honda Cars India has recorded 30% growth in its April 2014 sales at 11,040 units. The company had sold 8,488 units in the corresponding month, last year.

Once again, Honda City and Amaze were the biggest contributors in the monthly sales with 3,355 and 7,,044 sold units, respectively. However, both inspected a month-on-month fall. In March 2014, a total of 7374 and 9518 units of Amaze and City, respectively were sold. The overall sales too came down to 11,442 from last month's 19013.

Speaking on the company's performance "Mr. Jnaneswar Sen, Sr. Vice President - Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd. said, "We have started the financial year 2014 - 15 on a positive note and would like thank our customers for the fantastic response to the all new Honda City."

In April 2014, Honda launched the anniversary edition of the Amaze to mark its first successful year in the Indian market.
