Benelli TNT 25 to Be Launched Later This Month

Benelli will launch the 250cc Benelli TNT 25 in India sometime later this month, an official has confirmed to carandbike.com. Once launched, the Benelli TNT 25 will be the least expensive offering in the Indian market, priced between Rs 1.7 - 1.9 lakh.
Although it looks influenced by the styling of the Benelli TNT 300, the Benelli TNT 25 will be powered by a four-stroke, single cylinder, liquid cooled 249.2cc engine, producing 24.1bhp of power at 9,000rpm.

The engine is mated to a six speed transmission and top speed is expected be around the 145kmph mark. The Benelli TNT 300, the smallest displacing Benelli offering on sale now, is powered by a liquid-cooled 300cc in-line twin cylinder engine.
The Benelli TNT 25 offers neat styling cues comparable to any modern naked street motorcycle. Aggressive design lines are complemented by the sculpted fuel tank, split seat, upside down fork, monoshock rear suspension and modern instrument panel displaying plenty of data.
The TNT 25 will be the most important product for Benelli, which has so far launched several superbikes in India, including the TNT 300, TNT 600i, TNT 600GT, TNT 899 and the TNT 1130R. Once launched, the Benelli TNT 25 will compete in the entry level performance bike segment against the likes of Honda CBR250R, the Mahindra Mojo and the KTM Duke 390.

Benelli sells its superbike range in India in collaboration with Pune-based Motowheels. The bikes are being brought to India as CKD units and assembled here in Motowheels' plant in Maharashtra. Motowheels also sells the Korean brand Hyosung, as Hyosung in India.

So far, sales targets for Benelli bikes are higher than the Hyosung range and Motowheels is rapidly expanding its sales and after sales network across the country, targeting even Tier II and Tier III cities, like Raipur, Nashik, Nagpur, Mangalore and Mysore. In this fiscal, Motowheels intends to sell over 3,000 Benelli bikes in India, and the TNT 25 could well be the bestseller if priced right.
