EICMA 2024: 2025 Ducati Panigale V2 Unveiled; Powered By New Ducati V-Twin

- Ducati has unveiled the new Panigale V2.
- Powered by the new 890 cc V-twin engine that makes 118 bhp.
- Now weighs 179 kg.
Just days after unveiling its all-new V2 engine, Ducati has now unveiled the 2025 Panigale V2 which will be equipped with the powertrain. While less powerful than its predecessor, the new motorcycle is the lightest version of the Panigale superbike ever made. The motorcycle was unveiled alongside the Streetfighter V2, also powered by the same engine. In addition to the new engine, the Panigale V2 gets a range of new styling cues in line with the Panigale V4 which was unveiled at World Ducati Week earlier this year.

The new V-Twin engine is 9 kg lighter than the one it replaces, the Superquadro
The new 890 cc V-twin engine’s peak power output is now 118 bhp, over 30 bhp lower than its predecessor, while peak torque has also dropped by 10 Nm, and stands at 93.3 Nm. The new engine is, however, 9 kg lighter than the one it replaces, the Superquadro. The engine continues to be mated to a six-speed gearbox, aided by a quickshifter system.
The new Panigale V2 weighs 179 kg, down from 193 kg on its predecessor
The Panigale V2 continues to be built on an aluminium monocoque frame with a double-sided swingarm. Suspension duties are handled by a 43 mm upside-down fork setup from Marzocchi and a rear monoshock setup from KYB, both fully adjustable. The V2 S variant, on the other hand, gets a fully adjustable suspension setup from Ohlins. In terms of braking, the motorcycle gets twin disc brakes with Brembo Monobloc M50 piston calipers up front, while the rear gets a single disc with dual-piston calipers. The new Panigale V2 weighs 179 kg, down from 193 kg on its predecessor, and has a 29 mm longer wheelbase than its predecessor. Opting for the V2 S variant, however, will further reduce weight by 3 kg.

The new styling cues on the Panigale V2 are in line with its higher-displacement sibling, the Panigale V4
On the cosmetic front, the new Panigale V2 now has a cleaner appearance, with the new angular twin headlamp setup, and softer body lines. The side fairing of the motorcycle now looks less cluttered with fewer cuts and creases. The tail section of the motorcycle now has a completely overlapping rear fender, with a smaller passenger seat than before. Another change is the different position of the twin exhaust, which is now situated under the seat, and is adjoined at the rear.
