Fuel Prices Hiked For The 4th Day In A Row; Diesel Breaches Rs. 100 Mark In Thane

Fuel prices in India have been hiked for the fourth consecutive day today, with petrol rates going up by up to 31 paise per litre, and diesel becoming dearer by up to 37 paise per litre. In the nation's capital Delhi, petrol prices have reached Rs. 103.54 per litre, while diesel is being retailed at Rs. 92.12 per litre today. In Mumbai, the price for a litre of petrol has touched Rs. 109.54, while diesel rates are nearing the Rs. 100 mark at 99.92 per litre. Having said that, in Mumbai's neighbouring city Thane, petrol is being retailed at Rs. 109.68 per litre, while diesel prices have reached Rs. 100.05 per litre.

Petrol rates going up by up to 31 paise per litre, and diesel becoming dearer by up to 37 paise per litre
Here are the petrol and diesel prices across six major metros on October 8, 2021:

As for other metro cities, in Kolkata, petrol is now being retailed at Rs. 104.23 per litre, while diesel is priced at Rs. 95.23 per litre. At the same time, in Chennai, petrol prices have reached Rs. 101.01 per litre, while diesel rates stand at Rs. 96.60 per litre. On the other hand, in Bengaluru, the price of petrol has touched Rs. 107.14 per litre and the same for diesel stands at Rs. 97.77 per litre. In Hyderabad, petrol prices have reached Rs. 107.71 per litre, while diesel rates stand at Rs. 100.51 per litre.

As for some of the other regions, fuel prices continue to remain the most expensive in Rajasthan's Sri Ganganagar as customers now must pay Rs. 115.55 a litre for petrol and Rs. 106.10 a litre for diesel. Petrol rates in Anuppur have now reached Rs. 114.89 per litre while diesel retails at Rs. 103.78 per litre. At the same time, in Bhopal, vehicles owners will have to shell out Rs. 112.07 for a litre of petrol and Rs. 101.17 a litre for diesel. In Madhya Pradesh's Rewa district, the petrol and diesel rates have soared to Rs. 114.49 a litre and Rs. 103.41 a litre, while the same in the Parbhani district of Maharashtra have touched Rs. 112.10 a litre and Rs. 100.85 a litre, respectively.
