Hyundai Creta Gets Three New Variants For Its First Anniversary In India

- Hyundai has introduced 3 new variants of the Creta and a new colour
- The SUV now gets a new E+ petrol variant over the Base trim
- Hyundai has also introduced a new S+ diesel automatic variant
Hyundai Creta, the top-selling SUV from the South Korean carmaker, recently completed a year in the Indian car market. Commemorating the occasion, Hyundai India has launched three new variants of the Creta - the 1st Anniversary Edition, all-new Executive variant (E+) and S+, a new diesel automatic variant. While the Anniversary edition will be available in both petrol and diesel options, the new E+ variant will be only available in a petrol trim.
Additionally, the automaker has also introduced an all-new Earth Brown colour option, available on all variants of the SUV. However, the celebrations didn't end just there; Hyundai also announced that the Creta set a benchmark in the segment by crossing the 1.25 lakh sales mark. This feat, in turn, serves to vouch for Hyundai Creta's popularity in India.
The new Hyundai Creta E+ Executive variant, which costs Rs. 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), houses the 1.6-litre VTVT petrol engine under the hood. Mated to the 6-speed manual gearbox, it puts out 121bhp. The new variant also comes sporting features such as a 5-inch touchscreen audio system, steering-mounted audio and Bluetooth controls and tweeters. In terms of design, it gets a sporty-looking roof rail, electrically-adjustable ORVMs with LED turn indicators and rear AC vents. It has been slotted between the Hyundai Creta's Base variant and the S trim.

Hyundai Creta New E+ Variant
Seeing the increasing demand for the diesel automatic variant of the Creta, the carmaker has now introduced a new automatic trim for the mid variant S+, priced at Rs.13.58 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It comes powered by the same 126bhp 1.6L CRDi VGT engine mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox. As far as features go, it retains the S+ manual version's list of provisions.

Hyundai Creta Anniversary Edition
The third variant, the 1st Anniversary Edition, is being offered only on the SX+ variant, with both 1.6-litre petrol and 1.6-litre diesel guises. The Hyundai Creta anniversary edition receives a new two-tone colour scheme with black roof and white body and sporty graphics. Furthermore, it gets 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels instead of the 16-inchers found on the standard model.
Inside, it gets a snazzy all-black dashboard with red accents, premium black seat fabric with red inserts, a 7-inch touchscreen AVN system, and leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio and Bluetooth controls. While the petrol variant is priced at Rs.12.23 lakh, the diesel version gets a price tag of Rs.13.76 lakh (both ex-showroom, Delhi).
