Hyundai knows how big a hit the Grand i10 has become. This hatchback has already garnered its fair share of success and this has left the Korean car manufacturer hungry for more. Having won the ICOTY award, the Grand i10, has bagged Hyundai its second one in the span of 5 years. Let's not forget that it was the i10 itself that put Hyundai on the map.
As expected, Hyundai will take things ahead and they have decided to come up with a sub-4 metre sedan based on the Grand i10. The company is already testing the car in real world conditions and has also said that it will unveil the car on the 4th of February 2014.
It is highly unlikely that there will be any cosmetic changes to the front-end design but the major change will be the boot. Hyundai may make it a bit more spacious but we don't expect any changes in the engines they will use.
The 1.1-litre, 3 cylinder engine will go under the hood, as also, the 1.4-litre diesel. The Grand i10 sedan will compete with the likes of the Maruti Dzire and the Honda Amaze. Knowing Hyundai, the Grand i10 sedan will be extremely competitively priced. Considering that the Korean car manufacturer has already sold 35000 units of the Grand i10 in just 3 months, we are expecting a great response from the sedan.
