Kawasaki Ninja 300 May Be Replaced By Ninja 400

- Ninja 400 was spotted in Milwaukee where a TVC was being shot
- Kawasaki already has an existing Ninja 400 in Japan
- 2018 Ninja 400 could replace Ninja 300 internationally
Kawasaki is reportedly working on a new Ninja, likely to be powered by a 400 cc parallel-twin engine. The new Ninja 400 was spotted while a TVC was being shot in the US recently. Local news channels in Milwaukee reported that some streets of the city had been shut down for the shoot. There are a few spy shots of the bike as well, but none of the images are clear and only the rear of the bike can be seen. What is clear is that the styling of the Ninja 400 is more in line with the current Ninja range, inspired by the Ninja ZX-10R's styling.
The new Kawasaki Ninja 400 is expected to be introduced as a 2018 model, possibly as a global model, and likely to replace the Ninja 300. Kawasaki already has an existing Ninja 400, with styling borrowed from the previous Ninja 650. The current Ninja 400 is only available in select markets, like Japan and Canada. The new Ninja 400 though bears styling cues more in line with the current Ninja range. There are no further details available as yet, but as with the Ninja 300, the upcoming Ninja 400 is expected to be powered by a four-stroke parallel-twin motor.
On the cosmetic front, the Ninja 400 sports a LED tail-lamp, LED turn indicators, black alloy wheels, wide rear tyre, split seats, and a side mounted exhaust. Also seen is a small windshield, and LED headlamp and full digital instrumentation is expected on the new bike. It's still not clear if the Kawasaki Ninja 400 will be launched in India. From a cost perspective, it will only make sense to have considerable localisation of the Ninja 400 to make it a successful product in India.
