- Updated KTM 390 Adventure X to get cornering ABS, traction controlto
- Three ride modes, cruise control will also be introduced
- Updated KTM 390 Adventure X launch expected in a few weeks
The base variant KTM 390 Adventure X with alloy wheels and non-adjustable suspension will soon be replaced with the full electronics suite from the top-spec 390 Adventure. News of this update comes just a few months after the launch of the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure range. Apparently, the current 390 Adventure X was not able to attract consumer interest as much as its higher-spec version despite a significant price advantage, and it will be replaced by the updated model in a few weeks.

The KTM 390 Adventure X was priced at Rs. 2.91 lakh (Ex-showroom). With the updates, prices are expected to be hiked by around Rs. 15,000
car&bike has learnt from sources that so far, customers have chosen to overlook the 390 Adventure X despite its significant price advantage and focus on the standard 390 Adventure with its more elaborate electronic riding aids, which include three ride modes, cornering ABS, cornering traction control and cruise control. These features were so far missing on the 390 Adventure X.

The KTM 390 Adventure X will now get updated switchgear with cruise control shared with the higher spec KTM 390 Adventure.
The 390 Adventure X will soon be replaced with an updated version which will get the same electronics suite as the top model. This includes three ride modes - Road, Rain and Off-Road, each with different throttle maps as well as traction control and ABS intervention. Along with ride modes, the 390 Adventure X will also get cruise control and lean-sensitive traction control and ABS.
Standard, non-adjustable suspension and cast alloy wheels will be retained on the updated KTM 390 Adventure X.
The only equipment that will not be updated is the standard, non-adjustable suspension, 19–inch front and 17-inch rear cast alloy wheels shod with Apollo tramplR dual-purpose tyres. At launch, the KTM 390 Adventure X was introduced with just a bi-directional quickshifter and standard switchable ABS in terms of electronic rider aids.
The updated KTM 390 Adventure X will still offer very good value and a price advantage over the higher spec 390 Adventure.
With the changes, the updated KTM 390 Adventure is expected to get a revised price as well. So far, the 390 Adventure X was priced at Rs. 2.91 lakh (Ex-showroom), and with the updated electronics suite, it is expected to get a price hike of around Rs. 15,000. Even with the premium pricing, the updated KTM 390 Adventure X will still offer very good value with its touring-oriented personality, considering the standard KTM 390 Adventure will still command a premium price tag of Rs. 3.67 lakh (Ex-showroom).
The updated 390 Adventure is expected to still have a price difference of around Rs. 50,000 over the higher-spec 390 Adventure with wire-spoke tubeless rims and fully-adjustable suspension. In addition to cornering ABS, cornering traction control and cruise control, the ride modes, particularly with the Off-Road map will give the 390 Adventure X a more engaging personality and the updated electronics suite will give it the kit that is not offered by any other rival, apart from its sibling.
