Magenta ChargeGrid Sets Up 6 Charging Hubs For Electric CVs

- The charging hubs are located around e-commerce hubs and warehouses
- Charging infrastructure set up around last mile distribution hubs
- On the go charging, rest areas and maintenance of e-vehicles also offered
Magenta ChargeGrid has set up six electric vehicle charging hubs for electric commercial vehicles in Bengaluru. The EV charging infrastructure has been spread across key locations in Bengaluru, including BTM Layout, Kudlu, Jigani, Vijaya Bank Layout, Yeshwantpura and Mahadevpura around e-commerce hubs and warehouses. The EV charging hubs with over 150 charging points is synced with the Magenta ChargeGrid Smart app (available on iOS and Android), enabling EV owners to check real-time availability of EV charging stations and to book slots and fleet operators to pay for charging points online.

The EV Charging Hubs are developed focusing on ease of use for fleet drivers and operators and provide on the go charging on a 24x7 basis, overnight secure parking, maintenance and servicing of e-vehicles
The EV charging hubs are equipped with a control panel for the fleet operators to manage and supervise the state of charging, charging schedule, and vehicle service schedule. The EV Charging Hubs are developed focusing on ease of use for fleet drivers and operators and provide on the go charging on a 24x7 basis, overnight secure parking, maintenance and servicing of e-vehicles, as well as rest areas for drivers. The charging hubs are also equipped with an energy backup system in case of a power outage and ensures full charging.

Our charging hubs at Bengaluru are planned in a 3 km radius around the e-commerce hubs and warehouses stretching to the outskirts of the city all the way to Bengaluru Electronic city. The idea is to create the charging infrastructure in areas with the highest density of last-mile distribution hubs and enable seamless operations. These charging hubs have been developed with the EV fleet drivers in mind."

The company intends to install nine more charging hubs by the end of the year. Magenta ChargeGrid has partnered with several leading logistics and e-commerce companies like Amazon India, Porter, Udaan, BigBasket, JumboTail, etc. for third party last mile logistics services.
