Mahindra Adds CNG Variant To Alfa Cargo And Alfa Passenger; Price Begins At 2.57 Lakh

- Mahindra adds CNG variants to Alfa range.

- The CNG versions comes with 395 cc, water-cooled engine.
Mahindra Electric Mobility Ltd announced the launch of its new Alfa CNG Passenger and Cargo variants, based on its popular Alfa brand. Offered in Alfa Passenger DX BS6 CNG and Alfa Load Plus trims, both models are priced at Rs. 2.57 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Additionally, the company says that with the CNG variants, customers can save up to Rs. 4 lakh in 5 years on fuel expenses when compared to diesel cargo 3-wheelers. The vehicles will be available across Mahindra dealerships in Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Delhi, Bihar, Jharkhand, Kerala, and Madhya Pradesh.

Mahindra Alfa DX passenger variant offers a mileage of 40.2 km/kg.

Suman Mishra, CEO, Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited said, “The launch of new Alfa CNG Cargo and Passenger makes us a full range player by offering our customers multiple options including electric, diesel, and CNG to meet their different mobility needs. With the increasing density of CNG stations in some parts of India, the Alfa Cargo and Passenger will be an excellent choice for those looking at huge savings.”
Apart from the savings thanks to the CNG variants, Mahindra also offers best-in-segment mileage on the Mahindra Alfa DX passenger variant as it delivers 40.2 km/kg while the Alfa Load Plus variant gives a mileage of 38.6 km/kg, as per ARAI tests. Moreover, the CNG version comes with a 395 cc, water-cooled engine with 23.5 Nm of peak torque, with about 20 Nm available at lower speeds to help stay ahead of the traffic. The vehicle is based on the rugged Alfa platform, and according to Mahindra, it has the best-in-segment sheet metal thickness of 0.90 mm, in the Passenger CNG as well as Cargo CNG variants, offering high durability.

Mahindra Alfa Load Plus variant offers a fuel efficiency figure of 38.6 km/kg.

Mahindra Electric Mobility added that with more than 800 dealer touch points across India, the maintenance of Mahindra Alfa CNG is within easy reach.
