Maruti Ciaz Launched; Prices Start at Rs 6.99 Lakh

After failing to make an impact with Baleno and SX4 in the mid-sized sedan segment, Maruti Suzuki India is here with the all new Ciaz. Launched in the price bracket of Rs 7 - 9.80 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), Ciaz replaces SX4 in the country. While the car is comparatively least powered among its competitors, save for the Linea, there is lot more going in its favour. The car is claimed to be the most fuel-efficient and feature-rich car in its league.
Powering the petrol model of the car is a 1.4-litre K-Series engine that is good for 94bhp and 130Nm of torque. Whereas the diesel version, powered by a 1.3-litre multijet engine, produces 89bhp and 200Nm. The Indo-Japanese carmaker claims its petrol and diesel models to return 20.73Km/l and 26.21Km/l, respectively. With such impressive fuel economy figures, the Ciaz is the most fuel-efficient car in its league. In fact, the diesel model has been claimed to be the country's most-fuel efficient car, which earlier was Honda City. Both the, petrol and diesel, models come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox; however, the petrol can also be bought with a 4-speed automatic gearbox.
