Maruti Suzuki XL6 Cabin Uncovered In New Spy Shots; Launch In August

The upcoming Maruti Suzuki XL6 was recently spotted again, and this time around we have come across the cabin images of the upcoming crossover. Based on the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, the XL6's cabin gets similar styling as its MPV counterpart, however, as suspected, the spy photos also confirm that the latter will be a six-seater model with captain seats in the middle row, making it a 2+2+2 layout. Interestingly, Maruti Suzuki has told us that it's launching a new product on August 21, and it's very much likely to be the new Maruti Suzuki XL6 crossover.

The previously seen test mule of the Maruti Suzuki XL6 crossover came with a Nexa badging, indicating that the vehicle will be sold via the company's premium dealership network, unlike the Ertiga, which is sold via the Maruti Suzuki Arena showrooms. Visually, the cabin of the XL6 comes with an all-black interior, although there is a bit of masking tape on the steering wheel, it's clear that the interior styling is identical to the Ertiga's cabin. This particular model appears to be the top-end Alpha variant given the fact that it comes with a touchscreen infotainment system and leatherette upholstery. Also, this is the automatic variant as indicated by the gear lever.

In terms of exterior, the Maruti Suzuki XL6 comes with an all-new face, more in line with the company's European design language. The crossover gets a new hexagonal grille with a chrome slat and the Suzuki logo at the centre. The grille is flanked by a pair of all-new aggressive-looking headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lamps and indicators. The front bumper gets a couple of muscular lines, a wide central airdam, and thick black cladding that house the new fog lamps and skid plate. The profile and the rear of the new XL6 are largely identical to the Ertiga, featuring similar character lines, alloy wheels floating roof design and those larger, sweptback LED taillamps. However, the updates include new wheel arch and side-body cladding, roof rails, and a new piano black insert between the taillamps.

Maruti suzuki XL6 Crossover will come with the 1.5-litre K15 petrol engine
The new Maruti Suzuki XL6 is likely to share its engine with the Ertiga, powered by the new 1.5-litre K15 petrol motor with the company's SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki) technology. The engine is tuned to make about 103 bhp and 138 Nm of peak torque and comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and 4-speed automatic torque converter.
