Maruti Suzuki's Dealer Indus Motors Sells A Car Every 15 Minutes

While many carmakers in India have been struggling to sell even 1000 vehicles/month, Indus Motors, a Calicut based company that runs 109 Maruti Suzuki showrooms, managed to sell a total of 35,919 cars in the last fiscal year. Claimed to be selling an all new Maruti car every 15 minutes, Indus Motors has topped Maruti Suzuki car sales for the 9th year in a row.
The company started its first dealership in Calicut in 1986, and currently has the largest dealership and service network in Kerala. It owns a total of 105 showroom, 31 service stations ad 4 dealerships in Kerala. The company also has 2 dealerships and 2 service centres in Chennai. The company claims that in last two years, it has managed to sell Maruti Suzuki cars in 1,364 village of Kerala, thus covering over 90 % of villages of the state.
Just so you know, the Indus group was founded by Mr. P V Abdul Wahab who also represented Kerela as Rajya Sabha MP from 2004 to 2010.
