- Sales milestone achieved in 400 days
- Windsor EV was launched in India in October 2024
JSW MG Motor India has announced that the Windsor EV has crossed the 50,000-unit sales milestone. The 50k feat has been achieved in over a year, particularly in 400 days. This marks the model’s first major milestone since it went on sale in the Indian market.

The Windsor has garnered a lot of attention ever since its launch in October 2024. MG’s Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) programme, which allows buyers to reduce the initial purchase price by subscribing to the battery separately, has been one of the factors which contribute to the model’s overall performance. Since launch, the Windsor EV has consistently recorded a huge chunk of monthly sales for the brand.
In October 2025, MG introduced the model’s first special edition, the Windsor Inspire Edition. Limited to 300 units, it featured blacked-out exterior elements and red accents in the cabin. The Inspire Edition was priced at Rs 16.65 lakh, or Rs 9.99 lakh for buyers opting for the BaaS plan. The edition arrived as the Windsor completed its first year on sale, by which point MG had delivered more than 40,000 units.

Earlier in May 2025, MG added a new top-spec variant to the range, called the Windsor Pro. This version comes with a larger 52.9 kWh battery, an upgrade from the standard 38 kWh pack, pushing the claimed range up to 449 km from the standard model’s 331 km. The Windsor Pro also includes a lifetime battery warranty for the first owner. The new Pro variant received 8,000 bookings within the first 24 hours.
