MV Agusta F4Z Zagato Motorcycle Revealed Ahead Of Official Debut

- MV Agusta reveals new F4Z motorcycle designed in alliance with Zagato
- The bike is most likely based on the MV Agusta F4
- MV Agusta will officially unveil the bike on September 4
Not so long ago, MV Agusta teased its upcoming mystery motorcycle which was said to be built in collaboration with fellow Italian firm and popular automotive design company, Zagato that specialises in high-end auto design. The teaser released by the Italian marque showed a very radical looking motorcycle and said that the bike will be unveiled on September 4. Seeing how curious and desperate its fans have become, the company has now revealed the bike ahead of its unveiling itself and it has been christened MV Agusta F4Z.
Now the name itself will tell you that this new bike will be based on the motorcycle manufacturer's flagship supersport - the MV Agusta F4. In terms of design, you can see that under all that extraordinary skin, designed by Zagato, the motorcycle is more or less the usual MV Agusta. Like the F4, the F4Z also comes with a trellis frame that holds the bike together and is attached to the signature MV Agusta-style single sided swingarm, USD (up-side down) forks up front and monoshocks at the rear. The bike also gets twin disc brakes for the front wheel and a single one for the rear, which is linked to the engine by a chain.

MV Agusta F4Z
As for the styling department, the bike in all way captures the essence of both MV Agusta and Zagato. The signature Red-Silver dual tone colour scheme of MV Agusta flows prominently throughout the bike with the red scheme on the fairing of the bike creating a 'Z-shaped' design along with sporty red floating seats. Up front, the bike comes with a beak-like head that covers the Cyclops Eye-like projector headlamps and a small visor that might be a little useful in deflecting wind-blasts during high-speed riding. The massive fuel tank and a part of the fairing comprise all the silver tone used on the bike.
The heart of the motorcycle is likely to be the same 1000cc four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that does duty on the F4. The motor is capable of delivering a maximum of 195bhp at 13,400rpm and develops a peak torque of 111Nm at 9,600rpm, while mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
Now we know that MV Agusta is working on a new superbike platform and there is a possibility that the F4Z could preview the motorcycle. Anyway, we will come to know more about the bike on September 4 when the company will officially unveil the bike. And you will find that right here.
