New Race Track In The Works Near Bengaluru

- Designed by Hermann Tilke's team
- 2.4 km long, 12m to 17m wide
- To be opened by end of 2023
Infratech Developers is working on a brand new race track in the outskirts of Bengaluru. Located in Chitradurga, this racetrack will be 170 km away from Bengaluru, and will be about 3 hours away from the city. The track is situated in a valley, giving it its name, 'The Valley Speedway', and this gives it a great series of elevation changes with the track going from a 18m climb to an immediate 10m decline within the span of 2 corners whilst also being scenic and beautiful.
The track is being built on a 53-acre parcel of land and the same has already been acquired by Infratech Developers. The work on the race track began in November 2021, and dirt has already been laid out for off-road and rally events.
Infratech Developers have appointed Hermann Tilke's team, who are responsible for designing circuits like Yas Marina, Bahrain International circuit, COTA, Sochi Autodrome, and even the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida, to design the new race track. This track will be 2.4 km long and at least 12 metres wide throughout, and will feature a few sections where the track will be as wide as 17 metres.
This track will join the race tracks that are currently under construction throughout India, namely Nanoli Speedway near Pune, CoASTT near Coimbatore, Pista Motor Raceway near Hyderabad, and the Marque One in Anantapur, in paving the future of motorsports in India and bringing the total number of current and upcoming race tracks throughout the country up to 8.
