Royal Enfield Opens New Store in Ireland

- Royal Enfield's first showroom in Ireland
- Showroom in collaboration with RetroVentures
- High interest in Royal Enfield motorcycles in Ireland
Iconic motorcycle manufacturer Royal Enfield has opened its first dealership in Ireland. The dealership is a partnership with Co Limerick-based RetroVentures. Royal Enfield already has a good image in Ireland, thanks to RetroVentures, which has been hiring out Royal Enfield motorcycles for over two years.
The opening of an authorised showroom was the next logical step after a lot of queries from prospective customers who wanted to buy a Royal Enfield motorcycle.
"We have been hiring out Royal Enfield motorcycles to visitors to Ireland for the last two years and have been overwhelmed not just by the level of demand and the amount of positive feedback, but also by the number of customers who come to us to see if they can buy a motorcycle from us. Because of this, and the extensive market research we carried out over the last year, we knew that the next natural step was to open a Royal Enfield showroom," Chris Davidson, managing director, RetroVentures, told The Irish Times.

The world's oldest continuously manufactured brand of motorcycles, Royal Enfield currently sells over 50,000 motorcycles a month globally, meeting the demand through its factory in Chennai. The company is currently setting up a third manufacturing plant to increase production capacity to 900,000 motorcycles a year by 2018.
Currently, Royal Enfield operates through 17 company-operated stores and 496 dealers in all major cities and towns of India, and exports to over 50 countries across the world, including US, UK, several European and Latin American countries as well as the Middle East and South East Asia.
