Top 10 Selling Cars in India - March 2015

Indian passenger car market ended 2014-15 on a positive note with carmakers like Maruti Suzuki India, Honda and Hyundai posting their highest ever domestic sales in a financial year. Toyota and Nissan, too, did fairly well. However, car sales of Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Ford, General Motors and Renault had been negative. But with the help of strong sales posted by major players, the industry managed to sell 5 per cent more cars this year.
Though the financial year 2014-15 gave us signs of improvement, car sales in March, 2015 had been comparatively dull with major players Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai posting modest growth. Selling 1,03,719 units in March, 2015 as against 1,02,269 in the corresponding month last year, Maruti Suzuki India could manage to register just 1.4 per cent growth. Hyundai sold 39,525 units in the last month of the year, up 12.9 per cent.
Honda Cars India, however, continued to do well in the last month as well, posting a growth of 23 per cent. In fact, the Japanese carmaker registered its highest ever monthly domestic sales of 22,696.
Despite a modest month, some cars continued to generate volumes for their makers. Here's the list of March, 2015's top 10 selling cars in India.
