Toyota Innova and Fortuner's New-Generation Models in the Works

Toyota, the Japanese automajor, has started working on the new-generation models of two of its popular cars - the Innova and the Fortuner. In fact, the company has already begun testing both the vehicles and will most likely launch these cars by 2016.
New Toyota Innova
If reports are to be believed, the new Innova will underpin the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) but will retain the ladder-frame chassis. The TNGA will help Innova grow in size that will give it a more spacious and comfortable cabin along with a larger boot.
The MPV might be powered by a new range of engines that the company is currently working on. The Innova will also get a new front grille, revised head-lamps, new tail-lamps, new alloy wheels and a rear spoiler. The company will, hopefully, also add more features to the car.
Expected Launch: 2015-16

New Toyota Fortuner
The Fortuner, Toyota's famous SUV, will also get a new-generation model by 2016. The new-gen Fortuner will share its platform with the new Innova. Though the overall design of the car might remain pretty much the same, there's a chance that the SUV will receive a new two-slat grille, bolder head-lamps cluster, revised tail-lamps with LEDs among a handful of other cosmetic changes. Just like the Innova, the Fortuner's interior might also get bigger and more comfortable.
Expected Launch: 2016
