Toyota Innova Crysta Crosses 2.25 Lakh Sales Milestone
The Toyota Innova undoubtedly was the most accepted MPV in India ever since it was launched in 2004 and the Innova Crysta has lived up to its reputation. The Innova Crysta is the Japanese carmaker's bestseller in India and Toyota has sold over 2.25 lakh units of it since the model was launched in 2016.
The Innova Crysta at present commands an impressive market share of 40 per cent in its segment and Toyota on an average sells over 70,000 units of the Crysta annually. The Toyota Innova Crysta is manufactured as a CKD unit at Toyota's Bidadi plant along with the Fortuner. The Bidadi plant has a production capacity of 100,000 units annually.
The Toyota Innova is sold in India with a range of powertrain options- a 2.4 litre diesel, a 2.8 litre diesel and a 2.7 litre petrol. The 2.8 litre engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission while the 2.4 diesel get the manual transmission as standard.
