Toyota Innova Crysta Petrol Launched In India; Priced From Rs. 13.73 Lakh

Joining the successful diesel options, Toyota India has launched the new generation Innova Crysta with a petrol engine in the country. Prices for the new engine start at Rs. 13,72,800 going up to Rs. 19,62,300 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The petrol version of the highly popular MPV is loaded with a host of features that we have already seen on the diesel version introduced earlier this year and enables the company to sell the MPV in the diesel-ban struck Delhi-NCR region.
The new generation Toyota Innova Crysta petrol draws power from a 2.7-litre four-cylinder, Dual VVT-i (Variable Valve Timing with Intelligence) engine tuned to produce 164bhp and 245Nm of torque. The motor is paired to both manual and automatic transmission options with power being sent to the rear wheels. The MPV is available in both 7 and 8-seater options on either transmissions.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Akito Tachibana, Managing Director of Toyota Kirloskar Motor said, "The Innova is an iconic brand and has long established itself as the number 1 MPV in the Indian market. This can be further reiterated with the overwhelming success of the new Innova Crysta which was launched earlier this year."
In terms of features, the Toyota Innova Crysta petrol gets 8-way adjustable driver seat, automatic LED projector headlamps, rear auto AC with digital display, automatic climate controls, leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel, 4.2-inch TFT MID unit, Eco and Power mode, illuminated cabin and a whole lot more. Safety features include 7 airbags, ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, VSC and Hill Assist Control. You also get ISOFIX child restraint system, parking sensors, impact sensing door unlock and other passive features.
Toyota India claims an ARAI certified fuel efficiency figure of 10.83 km/l on the automatic trim of the Innova Crysta, while the manual returns 9.89 km/l. The automaker has also introduced new colours with the petrol version - Garnet Red, White Pearl Crystal Shine, Avant-garde Bronze.
