Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder Launched In India, Prices Start At Rs. 15.11 Lakh

- Toyota has announced prices for the top four variants of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder
- The top-end mild-hybrid version is priced at Rs. 17.09 lakh (ex-showroom)
- The top-end UC Hyryder Hybrid is priced at Rs. 18.99 lakh (ex-showroom)
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has announced prices of the highly anticipated Urban Cruiser Hyryder compact SUV. Prices have been announced for the top four variants of the offering, while prices for the remaining variants will be announced in a phased manner. The top variants of the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder are priced between Rs. 15.11 lakh and Rs. 18.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The new SUV boasts of 1.5-litre mild-hybrid and strong-hybrid engine options with AWD available as an option. Prices of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder's lower variants will be announced at a later date

Today, we have decided to announce the price of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder in a phased manner. The prices for the remaining grades will be announced shortly. The first of its kind self-charging strong hybrid electric vehicle in the B SUV segment, the Urban Cruiser Hyryder is aimed at delivering exemplary performance, best in class fuel efficiency, quick acceleration, connected car features and is designed for a greener future. We have introduced a very competitive pricing for the Urban Cruiser Hyryder, as it is through the Hyryder that we aim to encourage widespread acceptance of environment friendly technologies, thereby creating a positive impact and enhance energy security of the country."
The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder arrives with two petrol engines. The 1.5-litre K-Series mild-hybrid petrol motor with the integrated starter motor generator (ISG). The engine belts out about 100 bhp and 135 Nm of peak torque, while paired with a a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. There's also the 1.5-litre strong hybrid motor with the Toyota Hybrid System and e-drive transmission. The engine develops 91 bhp and 122 Nm of peak torque and is assisted by an electric motor churning out 79 bhp and 141 Nm of instant torque. The motor claims a fuel efficiency of 27.97 kmpl.
