Volkswagen Tries Its Hand at Making a Three-Wheeler

According to the people at Volkswagen it's an electric scooter that was designed to shuttle you from a far-off parking spots to wherever you want to spend the day. The 'Last Mile Surfer' is part of Volkswagen's new strategy and that is to expand operations to various mobility platforms.



We all know how big the Volkswagen umbrella is and there is always room for something more. The Last Mile Surfer weighs just 11kg/24.2 pounds and was designed to fit in the trunk of your car. The scooter has a range of close to 20 km and that is enough to get you to and fro from your parking spot. It weighs in at just 9 kgs and is small enough to fit in your trunk.

For those fitness geeks out there, this idea will be shrugged off as walking always makes for good exercise. But for those lazy people out there, this looks like the perfect solution. However, it does come at a price and that is approximately Rs. 70000. Would you now prefer walking or getting this scooter?
