2016 TVS Scooty Pep Plus Launched; Prices Start at Rs. 42,153

- Updated TVS Scooty Pep Plus launched with cosmetic and mechanical updates

Speaking about the 2016 TVS Scooty Pep Plus, Aniruddha Haldar, Head of Marketing - Scooters, TVS Motor Company said, "We have introduced the 2016 TVS Scooty Pep Plus with the all-new advanced EcoThrust engine. The new Ecothrust Engine with multicurve ignition system, throttle force reduction and improved pick-up will give riders a long lasting, trouble free and comfortable ride. The TVS Scooty Pep Plus is available in new colours and graphics in a new Ecosmart series (Nero Silver, Nero Blue). With added appeal and a smoother engine, the 2016 Ecosmart TVS Scooty Pep Plus will see heightened interest among consumers."

While there are no significant changes in the design, the new TVS Scooty Pep Plus now looks more attractive and vibrant thanks to the new style decals. At the heart of the scooter we have the 87.8cc, single cylinder, air-cooled engine that churns out 4.9bhp and 5.8Nm of peak torque paired to a CVT unit. Moreover, thanks to the EcoThrust engine with multicurve ignition system and throttle force reduction, the scooter now claimed to deliver a fuel efficiency of 65 kmpl.
Also the scooter now comes in two riding modes - Economy mode (achieves better fuel efficiency) and Power mode (better pick-up and higher top-speed). As for other general specifications, the new Scooty Pep Plus comes with a kerb weight of 95kg and has the same wheelbase of 1230mm along with a ground clearance of 135mm. The scooter gets 110mm drum brakes both at the front and the rear.
