2021 Yamaha Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid Revealed; India Launch Soon

India Yamaha Motor took the wraps off the 2021 Yamaha Fascino 125 scooter. The updated model gets significant changes to the engine along with new colour options and other features. Yamaha will announce the prices of the new Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid in the coming weeks. The biggest update is the smart motor generator (SMG), which is a hybrid system of sorts and the idea is to offer a power assist when the scooter is accelerating. There is a tell-tale light on the instrument console, which informs the rider that the hybrid system or power assist is in operation. Other benefits include a quieter start and automatic start-stop system.

The Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid continues to get a 125 cc single-cylinder engine which is liquid cooled and makes 8.08 bhp at 6,500 rpm along with 10.3 Nm at 5,000 rpm. The engine is paired to a CVT unit like before. The scooter will be available in both disc brake and drum brake variants. Yamaha will also offer a side stand engine cut off feature as standard on both variants. Other features include LED headlights, LED taillights and daytime running lights, digital instrument cluster and a 190 mm disc (optional). Yamaha will also offer Bluetooth connectivity with the Yamaha Motorcycle Connect X app. The Bluetooth connectivity system gets features like answer-back, locate my vehicle, riding history, parking record and hazard.

The Fascino 125 also gets a multi-function key with seat opening system, 21-litre underseat storage, foldable convenience hook, maintenance-free battery along with an optional USB charging port. The Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid gets a wide range of colours. The drum brake variant is available in three new colours which are Vivid Red, Yellow Cocktail and Cool Blue Metallic while the disc brake variant is available in Vivid Red Specia, Matt Black Special and Cool Blue Metallic.
