2022 Hyundai Venue Facelift Launched In India: Highlights

The 2022 Hyundai Venue facelift has gone on sale in India today, and we have all the highlights from the launch event, here. The Venue was first launched in 2019, and it is receiving a mid-cycle update for the first time after 3 years. In addition to design and styling changes, the subcompact SUV now also comes with several new and updated features and tech, like a bigger infotainment system, 60+ connected car technology as part of the Bluelink system, and more. Now, we already know what the new Hyundai Venue will look like, with the company recently releasing photos of the SUV. The grille design and lighting pattern are similar to the new-gen Tucson, while the rear section with the continuous LED light signature that connects the two LED taillights, and the rear bumper are inspired by the IONIQ5 electric crossover. Both these models are slated to be launched in India later this year.

Under the hood, the Venue will continue to be offered with three engines - 1.2-litre petrol, 1.0-litre turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The 1.2-litre petrol unit will only come with a 5-speed manual gearbox, while the 1.0-litre turbo petrol will get the option of both a 6-speed iMT (intelligent manual transmission) and an automatic 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch transmission). As for the 1.5-litre oil burner, it will continue to come with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard.
