2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno To Receive New Connected Car Features

Maruti Suzuki India is readying the new generation Maruti Suzuki Baleno, and ahead of its launch on February 23, 2022, the company released crucial details of the premium hatchback that retails under the Nexa brand. Now, we know that the new Maruti Suzuki Baleno will be loaded with a few segment-first features, that enhance its premium quotient, as well as keep it updated with its contemporaries. Adding to that is the introduction of the next-gen Suzuki Connect app with 40+ connectivity features including Alexa assistance. Additionally, Maruti Suzuki's most technologically advanced model yet will also be equipped with a Head-Up Display, a new 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ system which also features a new sound system with ARKAMYS tuning, and a 360-view camera.

Now, we've told you in detail about the new segment-first features of the new Baleno, but what's new is the connected car feature that comes equipped in its 2022 avatar. The next-generation Suzuki Connect will offer more than 40+ features including vehicle safety security, trips & driving behavior, status-alerts, and remote operations through all-new Suzuki Connect App and Amazon Alexa devices. Moreover, the infotainment system gets a voice-command-based feature as well, which responds to ‘Hi Suzuki.' Maruti Suzuki says the new telematics solution is the company's most advanced tech yet with a host of intelligent features.

Besides, the new Maruti Suzuki Baleno will also receive cosmetic updates to its exterior and interior, while a new transmission option is also on the cards. Power will be sourced from the same 1.2-litre VVT motor, and a 1.2-litre Dualjet, Dual VVT engine with similar power figures. Once launched, the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno will rival the likes of Hyundai i20, Tata Altroz, Volkswagen Polo, and Toyota Glanza in the Indian market. We expect it to be priced between Rs. 6.5 lakh to Rs. 10 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
