Auto Expo 2016: 80 New Vehicles to Be Unveiled

Indian automotive industry is gearing up for India's biggest auto carnival - Auto Expo 2016. Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) held a press conference today to give us some idea on the upcoming event.
The event will take place on two different locations - Pragati Maidan, New Delhi and India Expo Mart, Greater Noida. The more-familiar Pragati Maidan will host the Component Show from 4th to 7th February, and the Motor Show will take place at India Expo Mart from 5th to 9th February.
According to the list issued by SIAM, 58 automobile manufacturers will participate in Auto Expo 2016. Some of the giants like Bajaj, Ducati and Royal Enfield will be missed by the enthusiasts but expect the event to be bigger than ever.
In 2014, the total indoor exhibition space was 69,000sq. metres which has been upped to 73,000 sq. metres. Six new halls have been erected in addition to the existing eight halls. This has resulted in an additional carpet area of 37,240 sq. metres. The Component Show will witness participation of 1,500 companies, including 900 Indian companies and 600 International players.
