According to Bajaj, ComforTec is a first of its kind technology which reduces 20 per cent jerks compared to other 100 cc motorcycles. The Platina features 28 per cent longer travel front suspension and 22 per cent longer rear suspension than any other commuter motorcycle, resulting in better absorption of bumps, and delivering maximum comfort to the rider and enabling a smooth ride. It also sports a 'spring-soft' seat, rubber footpads and directional tyres that enhance ride comfort and stability.
"With the introduction of this upgraded Platina ComforTec, we have made a superior product even better. Customers shall love the combination of comfort, superior mileage and LED DRL styling that the new Platina offers," said Eric Vas, President, Motorcycle Business, Bajaj Auto.
In addition to the revolutionary LED DRLs, the new Platina ComforTec is powered by the exceptionally reliable and frugal 100cc Bajaj DTSi engine. It also comes with new elegant graphics and a stylish new instrument cluster. The Bajaj Platina is powered by a 102 cc, single-cylinder engine which makes 7.8 bhp and 8.3 Nm. The bike gets a four-speed gearbox and has a kerb weight of 111 kg.
