Car Sales September 2017: Hyundai Posts 17.4 Per Cent Growth

- Hyundai sold 50,028 units in September 2017
- The good sales figures were due to the launch of the new-gen Verna
- Hyundai has sold over 6,000 units of the new Verna since launch
Hyundai Motor India has sold 50,028 units in September 2017, which is 17.4 per cent more than what it sold in September last year, which was 42,605 units. Compared to the sales of August 2017, which was 47,103 units, the company posted a percentage growth of 6.2 per cent. One of the key factors for the good sales numbers in September was the launch of the new-generation Verna, selling over 6,000 units.

Rakesh Srivastava, Director - Sales and Marketing, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. said, "Hyundai achieved landmark sales of 50,028 units with growth of 17.4 per cent, on the multiplier effect of phenomenal performance of newly launched Next Gen Verna with sales of over 6,000 units along with strong pull for Creta, i20 and Grand i10 in this festive season."

Hyundai had launched the new-generation Verna in August 2017, which has received tumultuous response, in form of over 6,000 units sold and more than 14,000 bookings in barely a month since its launch. But the company will be revising the introductory prices of the new-gen Verna once the number of bookings crosses the 20,000 mark.
