The Honda City e:HEV hybrid has finally gone on sale in India and has been priced at Rs. 19.50 lakh (ex-showroom, India). It is being offered in a single range-topping ZX trim which is almost Rs. 4.5 lakh costlier over the standard City ZX. The Honda City e:HEV hybrid sedan will be manufactured in India at Honda's manufacturing facility in Tapukara, Rajasthan and Honda is soon to begin with its delivery. - The Honda City e:HEV sedan is the first Honda car to bring its Honda Sensing technology or ADAS features to India.
- It is powered by a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, Atkinson Cycle petrol engine and two electric motors that deliver a combined power output of 124 bhp and 253 Nm of peak torque.
- Honda claims the City Hybrid is 40 per cent more fuel-efficient than its petrol counterpart and returns a claimed 26.5 kmpl fuel efficiency.

The cabin of the Honda City e:HEV hybrid gets upgraded with new upholstery and a hybrid-specific instrument cluster.
- The hybrid City is also 110 kg heavier than its petrol-powered version.
- It also gets updated with disc brakes at all corners and an electronic parking brake.
- The Honda City e:HEV hybrid sedan has three drive modes - EV, hybrid, and petrol, and can run on electric power in the EV mode.
- In terms of looks, there are very subtle updates in its design while the cabin gets upgraded with new upholstery and a hybrid-specific instrument cluster. The rest of the elements are carried over from the ZX trim of the petrol-powered model that it is based on.

- In terms of features, the Honda City e:HEV hybrid receives ADAS functions via Honda Sensing such as Lane Change Assist, Pedestrian Alert, and Adaptive Cruise Control.
- There's also Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Road Departure Mitigation (RDM), and Auto High Beam.
- Other safety features include six airbags, Honda Lane-Watch, a 360-degree view camera, and tyre pressure monitoring.
