MP car registration
It is mandatory in the state of MP to do permanent registration of vehicles. The vehicles are first temporarily registered at the end of the seller at the showroom. The temporary registration has to be converted into a permanent registration number. You should know the process of permanent registration. You should also know how to apply for permanent registration of a vehicle in MP. It requires detailed information about you and your car, through the documents. There is also a validity period of the RC in MP.

Car Registration Procedure
If you are the owner of the vehicle, you have to visit the office of the RTO. You should know the address of the RTO in a region of MP or the office of the DTO if it is a district town. You should collect the application form from the transport office. They charge you certain fees for buying the form. You have to submit Vahan forms also. you should also submit forms 20, 21, and 22. You should also submit some other relevant documents at the office and pay the fees. After the submission of documents and fees, the registration process will be initiated.

The engine and chassis numbers are recorded via pencil tracing. These numbers are matched with the registration number of the car. You can have the registration certificate within 4 to 5 days.
- Registration Validity in MP
There is a period of validity of RC in MP. For cars, bikes, etc. which are not commercial, the validity period is 15 years from the date of registration. For commercial vehicles, the validity period is of one year. These vehicles have to get a fitness certificate from the transport department. If you are moving your car out of MP, you can keep your vehicle in the new state bearing the old registration number. After one year of staying in a different state, you need to re-register your vehicle there.
- Application for VIP number
If you want a special number for your car, you have to apply for it online in MP. The government of MP has come up with this system to make it transparent. There will an auction of the fancy number and the highest bidder shall be allotted the choice number.
The procedure is very transparent and easy for vehicle registration in MP. You have to obtain the requisite forms from the RTO office. You have to fill in the form and submit it along with the fee fixed for it. the forms can be downloaded online also. it is to avoid the inconvenience of visiting the transport office.
After the submission of forms and payment of fees, the engine number and chassis number must be mentioned. There is an inspection done by the officials of the transport department. The registration will be completed after the inspection of the vehicle.
