Ken Block To Participate In Pikes Peak Open In A New Porsche Hoonipigasus

- Ken Block's Poirsche is a new one-off machine christened "Hoonipigasus"
- It is dressed in 'Pink Pig' a special livery.
- The Hoonipigasus will take part in Pikes Peak on June 26.
After a 11 year long stint, Ken Block moved on from Ford and signed a deal with Audi last year. However, going forward Block will not be seen drifting around in an Audi, but will be seen behind the wheel a Porsche. And as one would expect, it's a bespoke model with a mid-mounted engine like we have seen in the Porsche 911 RSR. It's a new one-off machine christened "Hoonipigasus" and is dressed to impress in a special livery harkening back to the 1971 Porsche 917/20 "Pink Pig."
The car has been reworked by BBi Autosport and has been engineered with a height-adjustable suspension.
It is powered by a 4.0-litre flat-six, twin-turbo motor belting out a manic 1,400 bhp and all that power is channelled to both axles in a specced race car that tips the scales at just 1,000 kg. The car has been reworked by BBi Autosport and has been engineered with a height-adjustable suspension that uses GPS coordinates based on last year's Pikes Peak telemetry. The Hoonipigasus will take part in Pikes Peak on June 26 and Ken Block will be driving the hardcore coupe to the summit of Pikes Peak in Colorado. 2022 celebrates the 100th running of the PPIHC and the car will take part in thePikes Peak Open (PPO).

That said, Ken Block won't be participating for the first time in Pikes Peak. He drove a Group N rally car back in 2005 during his first year in racing. In 2017, he participated in a 1965 Ford Mustang Hoonicorn RTR V2 starring in the 'Climbkhana: Pikes Peak' film.
