Kia Carens India Launch Highlights: Price, Features, Specifications, Images

The all-new Kia Carens three-row vehicle has gone on sale in India, and we have all the live updates from the launch event here. The Carens employs the company's latest global design language 'Opposites United' making it the first Kia vehicle in India to get it. We have already driven the new Kia Carens and told you all about it, including our expectations with regards to its prices, which you will find on the carandbike website. However, Kia has managed to surprise us by launching the Carens at an aggressive introductory price of Rs. 8.99 lakh, going up to Rs. 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

The Kia Carens is offered in 5 trim levels - Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury, and Luxury Plus

The new Kia Carens MPV will be the South Korean carmaker's fourth product in India, and the MPV will be offered in 5 trim levels - Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury, and Luxury Plus. The Carens will come in both 6- and 7-seater cabin layout options. Some of its key feature highlights include - full LED headlamps LED DRLs, 10.25-inch touchscreen units with 'Kia Connect' connected car tech, Bose sound system, ventilated seats, an air purifier with virus and bacteria protection, sunroof and more.

The powertrain options for the Carens include - the Smartstream 1.5-litre petrol, Smartstream 1.4-litre T-GDi turbo-petrol, and a 1.5 CRDi VGT diesel engine. All three engines will come with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard, however, the turbo-petrol and the oil burner get an optional 7-speed DCT automatic and 6-speed torque converter unit, respectively.
