Maruti Ciaz Launching in the First Week of October

Ever since its unveiling at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo, the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz has been, unarguably, one of the most-anticipated vehicles in the country. The company has already kick-started the promotional activities for the car and is leaving no stone unturned to create a buzz. MSI started with an online campaign, which was then followed by the print media. The Ciaz's first TVC is also expected to go on-air soon, which features Ranveer Singh - a Bollywood actor. However, there has been no word about the car's launch date. Though, we don't have the exact launch date, our sources reveal that it will most probably be the first week of October. The company has already started taking pre-orders for the car with an advanced payment of Rs 21,000 across all its dealerships.

The company, which has never been able to do well in the high-end segments, has high expectations from the Ciaz that replaces the ageing SX4. In a bid to conquer the C-segment, three significant areas that, I believe, the company has really worked hard upon are - design, fuel efficiency and equipment. However, the pricing will still play the most crucial role here. The Ciaz, no doubt, will be one of the better looking Maruti Suzuki cars with several best-in-class features on offer.
The 'Kitna deti hai factor' also seems to be working in Ciaz's favour; with a claimed mileage of 26.21Km/l, the 1.3-litre diesel engined model of the new sedan will become country's most fuel-efficient vehicle. The petrol model too, with a 1.4-litre unit, has been claimed to return an impressive 20.73Km/l. So, in the mileage department, the Ciaz outshines the segment-topper Honda City.
