Here's what you need to know about the sedan:
a. The SHVS stands for Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki
b. The new variant will return improved mileage; over 28Km/l - an decent improvement over the current diesel model's ARAI certified mileage of 26.21km/l
c. The new variant will receive a larger capacity battery, integrated starter generator and start-stop technology that will allow the car to return better mileage
d. The new mild hybrid system, which incorporates an ISG (integrated starter generator), provides engine power assistance using the motor and achieves efficient power regeneration
e. The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz SV Hybrid's braking system, coupled with ISG, also aids the engine start-stop technology that automatically stops the engine at a traffic light and start upon releasing the clutch
f. In terms of safety provisions, the carmaker will offer driver-side airbag across all Ciaz variants. Furthermore, the company will also add dual airbags, Anti-lockig braking system (ABS), and electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD) system as standard albeit higher-up the trim levels
