Maruti Suzuki Is The Biggest UV Manufacturer For Q1 FY18
- Maruti Suzuki has sold over 1.45 lakh units of the Vitara Brezza
- The company has sold over 3.42 lakh units of the Ertiga
- Maruti Suzuki sold 8,239 units of the Vitara Brezza in June 2017
The fact that Maruti Suzuki is the biggest utility vehicle maker for the first quarter of FY18 is hardly a surprise. The company reported sales of 57,125 utility vehicle units which included the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ertiga and the S-Cross. In comparison, the Q1 sales of FY17 were 39,348 units. The percentage increase over the year was a massive 45 per cent.

The company says that the Vitara Brezza along with Ertiga have been driving force behind the robust sales for Q1 FY18. The company's market share in the B-segment of automobiles increased by 7.7 per cent in the first quarter of FY18. For the time-period of April-June 2017, Maruti Suzuki's share in the B-segment was a total of 29.3 per cent as against 21.5 per cent in FY17.
