Maruti Suzuki Makes History; Rolls Out 15 Millionth Car
Speaking on this achievement Mr Rajiv Gandhi, Executive Director, Production, Maruti Suzuki India Limited said, "Maruti Suzuki's journey has been one of Kaizen and continuous improvement. Our people on the shop floor make enormous contribution so that we can offer more and better to our customers, and fulfill their needs and aspirations".
Models that contributed the most in achieving the milestone are - Maruti 800, Alto, Wagon R, Omni, Swift and Swift Dzire. The company further said that its medium term goal is to sell 2 million vehicles annually by 2020. And to do that, the company is planning to expand its product portfolio by entering into new segments and further increasing its sales and service network.
