Maruti Suzuki Supplies 94 Units of the Ertiga to the Mumbai Police
We've seen cars like the Maruti Suzuki Gypsy, Mahindra Armada and even the Bolero not to forget the Toyota Qualis, being recruited by the Mumbai Police. Well, in a bid to stay in touch with times, the Mumbai Police has now been equipped with the new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga MPV.

The Ertigas will be draped in the typical police livery and each car has been assigned to a particular area which is very meticulous way to operate. The cars provided by Maruti Suzuki to the Mumbai Police will be used for Women's safety and as part of showing that, the cars will see a pink stripe on them.

The rear bumper will see the name of the location for where the cars have been deputed for and we will see these cars doing the rounds of the city soon. The models provided are the LXi variants and come powered by the 1.4-litre K-Series engine that is good enough for 80bhp and developing 130Nm of torque.

The LXi is the base variant of the Ertiga and hence most of the comforts like the 2nd row AC go missing. But Maruti Suzuki recently added a bunch of safety features like the driver side airbag as a standard feature in the MPV. The facelift of the Ertiga was launched before the festive season and it will be great to see it being used for the safety of women by the Mumbai Police.
