But India, and we mean Maruti Suzuki will play a significant role in the development of the brand in global markets. The company has already started production of the Baleno hatchback in India and the car showcased in Frankfurt was built at the company's India plant. Suzuki went on to state that "In the last few years we have been building capability of Maruti Suzuki so that we can develop vehicles which match Indian requirement but (going forward) I want Maruti Suzuki to be able to develop vehicles for Suzuki's global markets"

The company is also looking at entering into markets like Africa and Middle East. MSI, which currently accounts for 40 per cent of SMC's total sales, is expected to increase it to 60 per cent by 2020 and that is a significant rise. With more cars pouring out of the Maruti Suzuki stable, we can only wonder what's in store.
