Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza And Baleno's Waiting Period To Come Down
- Maruti will increase production of Baleno at its Gujarat plant
- This in turn will reduce pressure on Gurgaon and Manesar plants
- The waiting period for the Vitara Brezza is around 20 weeks
Are you looking to buy a Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza or a Maruti Suzuki Baleno? If yes, it would be a good time to book one because the waiting time for both these hot-sellers from Maruti will soonn be coming down. How will that happen you ask? Well, the company will be increasing the production of these two models by adding a second shift at the Hansalpur plant in Gujarat. This plant is Suzuki's first ever wholly-owned manufacturing facility in India. The plant has been manufacturing 10,000 units of the Baleno. This has already seen the waiting period of the Baleno go down from 17 weeks in the last month to 12 weeks currently.
The Hansalpur plant will be manufacturing 1.5 lakh units of the Baleno for this fiscal year. The increase in production will happen gradually of course. The new shift at the Hansalpur plant will ease the burden on Maruti's Gurgaon and Manesar plants. R.S Kalsi, senior executive director, Maruti Suzuki India, said that the company will have some room to adjust for production of other models at the Gurgaon and Manesar plants.
(Maruti Suzuki Baleno)The Vitara Brezza is manufactured at the Gurgaon plant and has constantly been in high demand which is why the high waiting period of over 20 weeks. Upon speaking to some dealers in Delhi, Carandbike found out that the waiting period for the Brezza has already dropped to 17 weeks. Maruti has sold over 1, 50,00 units of the Vitara Brezza in 17 months since its launch. For the time period of April-August 2017, the company sold 60,194 units. The best month for Vitara Brezza sales was August 2017 when Maruti sold 14,517 units.
Maruti says that the demand of Vitara Brezza is not going to die down any time soon.
