New-Gen Toyota Innova to be Unveiled on November 23
It's no secret that Toyota is working on the new-generation model of its popular MPV - the Innova. We've already shown you what the car could look like which might make its global debut later when a picture of the new-gen model was leaked. But now, we hear that the company plans to unveil the car on November 23 this year and it's likely that we'll see the car at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo.

The spied picture reveals that the new-gen model of the MPV will get two chrome slats on the grille, swept-back head-lamps with double-barrel projectors, and integrated LED daytime running lamps. The bumper also gets wider air-dam and new fog-lamps.

Coming to the side profile, the vehicle gets new flared wheel arches, narrower glass etc., thus, giving it a refreshed look. That said, the vehicle continues to flaunt a similar shape. The new-gen model will be built on Toyota New Global Architecture (TMGA) platform, which will help it become lighter, and more responsive than the exiting model.

Toyota has made a significant investment in the Bengaluru plant and will start production of diesel engines soon which will bring localization levels of the Innova to 80%. Currently all the diesel powertrains came from Japan and the new generation of engines promise to be fuel efficient and pack in a punch.
