Royal Enfield Appoints Yadvinder Singh Guleria As Chief Commercial Officer

- YS Guleria spent over two decades at Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India
- Guleria was instrumental in HMSI's success story since its inception
- Guleria will lead sales & marketing, as well as aftermarket functions
Royal Enfield has announced the appointment of Yadvinder Singh Guleria as the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). Guleria will be responsible for leading Royal Enfield's business growth globally, across India and all international markets, and will also spearhead sales, marketing and aftermarket functions, a statement from Royal Enfield said. Guleria will report to B. Govindrajan, Chief Executive Officer, Royal Enfield, and will be part of the company's management team contributing to the strategic direction of Royal Enfield and its global success, the official statement added.

Speaking on Guleria's appointment as CCO, B Govindarajan, CEO, Royal Enfield said, "We are very happy to bring Yadvinder on board to lead the global sales and commercial operations for the brand. He comes with extensive experience in the premium two-wheeler industry and has proven expertise in leading and driving business growth. At Royal Enfield, we are turning a new chapter in our global growth story. Yadvinder's experience will be valuable in channeling this team's enthusiasm and shaping future business growth for us. Yadvinder Singh Guleria has been part of Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) since its inception after Honda parted ways with the Hero Group, with the disbanding of the Hero Honda brand. Guleria contributed to many critical functions at HMSI and was elevated to the company's board in 2020 and was responsible for sales and marketing, customer service, logistics, brand and communication, along with the new vertical of premium motorcycle business. He served as Vice President (Sales & Marketing) and then was promoted to Senior Vice President (Sales & Marketing) of HMSI before he was made Director, Sales & Marketing in 2020. Under Guleria's leadership, HMSI achieved several milestones, including establishing the Honda Activa as India's highest-selling scooter, and the Honda Shine as India's highest-selling 125 cc scooter.

Royal Enfield has achieved leadership position in the global mid-size motorcycle segment. The company is getting ready with a slew of new motorcycle launches over the next few months.
With Royal Enfield expanding across global markets, and looking to fortify its leadership position in the mid-size motorcycle segment, Yadvinder Singh Guleria's experience and track record will help Royal Enfield establish a steady growth direction, both in the domestic market, and in overseas markets. In recent months, Royal Enfield has seen a complete overhaul in its senior management team, with B Govindrajan appointed as CEO in May 2022. Govindrajan has spent 23 years across Royal Enfield and its parent company Eicher Motors. He also serves as a Wholetime Director on the Board of Eicher Motors Limited (EML), the parent company of Royal Enfield.
