Skoda Is Offering a Discount of Over Rs. 1 Lakh on the Rapid

- The total discounts include cash discounts and exchange bonuses
- Skoda is also testing the Rapid facelift to be launched later in the year
- The Rapid facelift will get refreshed interior and more equipment
Skoda is offering a solid discount on the Rapid. The Czech carmaker is giving a discount of more than Rs. 1 lakh across all models. The benefits can be broken down into cash discounts of Rs. 80,000, an exchange bonus of Rs. 20,000 and a corporate discount of another Rs. 10,000.
Skoda is also planning to launch a face-lift for the Rapid sometime during the festive period this year. It has been testing the Rapid in India for a while now. We believe that the Rapid will be getting a host of changes such as an updated infotainment system with MirrorLink, climate control, AC vents for the rear, two-tone colour scheme for the upholstery, electric ORVMs and cruise control as well. People who are willing to purchase the Rapid can also avail loan facility at a low interest rate of 7.99 per cent. There will be changes to the looks of the car as well, of course. The front bumper and the grille will be re-styled to look sharper than earlier.
The engine and transmission options will remain the same as earlier. There is a 1.6-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines which churns out 103bhp each but have different torque figures of 153Nm and 250Nm respectively linked to either a 5-speed manual unit or a 7-speed DSG transmission unit.
In the last month, manufacturers such as Hyundai and Fiat were also offering discounts on their respective models. Recently, Renault also revised the prices for the Lodgy as a part of its 5th anniversary celebrations.
