Top 4 Rivals: Maruti Suzuki Baleno

Maruti Suzuki's Baleno has been one of the best-selling models in the Indo-Japanese automakers stable, and it has been the country's 'Top 10 Best-Selling Cars' almost since it was first launched, in October 2015. Maruti Suzuki India launched a facelift for the premium hatchback in January 2019, and later, the same year, the company launched the BS6 version of the Baleno in India. There have been some new entrants in the premium hatchback space and here are the Balenos top 4 rivals.
1) Hyundai i20

The new-gen i20 is sportier than before. Based on the K platform, the all-new i20 is bolder, feature-loaded and powerful than the predecessor. The car is available in 4 variants - Magna, Sportz, Asta and Asta (O). The premium hatchback is priced in the range of Rs. 6.85 lakh to Rs. 11.34 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
2) Honda Jazz

The Honda Jazz in the BS6 avtaar is offered in only three variants - V, VX and ZX. All three trims will come with a CVT automatic option as well. Prices for the new Jazz start at Rs. 7.49 lakh going all the way up to Rs. 9.73 lakh (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
3) Tata Altroz

The premium hatchback comes with a choice of petrol and diesel engines. It includes a 1.2-litre 83 bhp Revotron petrol, a 1.2-litre 108 bhp turbocharged petrol and 1.5-litre 98 bhp Revotorq diesel. The car is priced between ₹ 5.75 lakh and ₹ 9.55 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
