Two-Wheeler Sales September 2017: Hero Sells Over 7 Lakh Units In A Month

- Hero sold 7,20,729 units in September 2017
- This is the first time Hero has crossed the 7 lakh sales mark in a month
- Hero passed the cumulative 75 million sales mark recently
Hero MotoCorp is on a roll. The biggest two-wheeler company in India has set a new record of selling over 7 lakh units in a single month for the first time ever. Hero sold a total of 7, 20,729 scooters and motorcycles in the month of September 2017, growing by 6.78 per cent. In comparison, the company had sold 6, 74,961 units in September 2016. Till date, Hero is the only two-wheeler company to have sold over 7 lakh two-wheelers in a single month. In fact, the company recently celebrated the sales of 75 million units ever since it started operations in India.
Ashok Bhasin, Head of Sales, Marketing and Customer Care, Hero MotoCorp, said, "With close to three weeks still remaining in the festival season, we have set an all-time record by selling over a million motorcycles and scooters in domestic retail sales in the festive period so far, further consolidating our market leadership."
(Hero MotoCorp Crosses 1 Million Sales Mark This Festive Season)Hero reported that it saw robust sales earlier in the month on account of Ganesh Chaturthi and Onam as well. With the FIFA Under-17 Football World Cup on the cards, the company had engaged in product and region-specific customer activation initiatives, which further led to increased sales. With three more weeks left in the festive season, Hero is confident that it will be looking forward to further increase its sales across the country, especially in the North, where Diwali is one of the biggest festivals in the year.
