Upcoming Citroen C5 AirCross Engine Details And Specifications Revealed

The Upcoming Citroen C5 AirCross is all set to be introduced in India in the coming weeks, and ahead of its launch, the company has released details regarding its engine and other specifications. The new C5 AirCross is the first product to be launched in India by the French carmaker, and it comes to our shores as CKD (Completely Knocked Down) model, and it is assembled locally at the company's plant in Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu. The company recently rolled out the first Citroen C5 Aircross SUV, officially beginning the commercial production.

Now, the new Citroen C5 AirCross will be offered in two variants - Feel and Shine, and both will get a 2.0-litre diesel engine as standard. The 1997 cc, the four-cylinder oil burner is tuned to churn out 174 bhp at 3750 rpm, and it develops a peak torque of 400 Nm at 2000 rpm. The engine comes mated to an 8-speed automatic torque converter unit as standard, and it is claimed to offer a fuel efficiency of 18.6 kmpl.

The 2021 Citroen C5 AirCross is equipped with a 2.0-litre diesel engine that makes 174 bhp and 400 Nm of peak torque
In terms of dimensions, the new C5 AirCross measures 4500 mm in length, 2099 mm in width and 1710 mm in height. The new 5-seater SUV also comes with a wheelbase of 2730 mm. In terms of luggage space, with all the rear seats up and slid back, the SUV offers a 580-litre boot space, which can be increased to 72 litres by sliding the rear seat forward. The rear seats can also be folded entirely to create a total luggage space of 1630 litres. The top-spec Shine trim also gets hands-free electric tailgate function. The SUV also gets the Citroen's Progressive Hydraulic Cushions suspension setup.

The C5 AirCross comes in both single tone and dual tone colours with 18-inch 'SWIRL' two-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels as standard
The SUV will be offered in four single tone shades - Pearl White, Cumulus Grey, Tijuca Blue, and Perla Nera Black, along with dual-tone black roof option for the former three, bringing the total to 7 colour options. The new Citroen C5 AirCross will come with LED Vision Projector Headlamps, with LED daytime running lights, ORVM-mounted LED turn indicators, and LED taillamps. The SUV gets a set of 18-inch 'SWIRL' two-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels as standard.

The dashboard features an 8-Inch touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a 6-speaker audio system
Inside, the SUV will come with a well-laid-out cabin designed with the use of premium soft-touch material. The dashboard features an 8-Inch touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a 6-speaker audio system. The SUV also gets steering mounted controls for audio and telephony. The upholstery option includes - Metropolitan Grey - Grey Grained Leather and Graphite Cloth With Advanced Comfort Seats. Other features include dual-zone climate control, park assist function, electrically adjustable driver seat, panoramic sunroof, keyless entry, push-button start and more. Safety features include 6 airbags, electronic stability programme, hill start assist, hill descent control, traction control, Blind Spot Information System, Electric Parking Brake, Front & Rear Parking Sensors, ISOFIX mounts, and reverse camera.
