Upcoming Hero Destini 125 Teased Ahead Of Launch

- New upcoming Hero Destini 125 teased
- Current flagship scooter in Hero’s portfolio
- Competes against the Activa 125, Access 125 and Jupiter 125
Hero Desitini 125 is the flagship scooter in the brand’s portfolio and has been on sale for around six years. In this duration, the scooter hasn’t received any significant updates which has resulting in prospective buyers from this segment not taking much interest in the scooter. However, all that will likely change as Hero has released a teaser on its social media platforms confirming that a new and thoroughly updated version of the Destini 125 is lined up for launch.
Currently, the Destini 125 packs a typical conventional scooter design which will be replaced with a fresh one. Expect sharp contours with LED lighting and a new range of colours. Only two weeks back a patent image of the scooter was leaked online, revealing some details of the new scooter.

As for the powertrain, it is most likely that the Destini 125 will be powered by the same 125 cc single-cylinder motor rated to produce 9 bhp and 10.4 Nm, mated to a CVT. However, Hero might carry out a few tweaks, such as a new engine map and improvement to the existing design, to make the motor more efficient.
For cycle parts, the scooter will be suspended by a telescopic fork unit at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking will be taken care of with a disc-drum setup for the top-spec variant and an all-drum setup for the base variant.
Hero currently retails the Destini 125 at Rs 80,048 for the LX variant and Rs 86,538 for the top-spec Xtec variant. Expect the new model to carry a premium over the existing price tag. Competition-wise, the Hero Destini 125 goes up against the Honda Activa 125, Suzuki Access 125 and TVS Jupiter 125.
